Tuning

It is recommended by the industry that your piano be tuned twice a year and sometimes more often depending on usage, service history, moving, storage, humidity and other factors.  Piano tuning is the process of adjusting the tension of the strings in order to maintain pitch.

If a piano has not been tuned for several years it will need a pitch raise. A pitch raise is a special type of tuning used to restore a piano back to standard pitch and is necessary for the stabilization and sound of the piano.
